IGOR Pro is a widely-used scientific/engineering data analysis/visualization environment. It is a commercial product of Wavemetrics Inc. As of August 2013, an academic license of Igor Pro costs $435.00; a 30-day, fully-functional demo version is also available for download.

It has both Macintosh and Windows versions.
