If you've never used a [[Wikipedia:Wiki|Wiki]] before, you might want to visit and play around with editing in the [[EPICSWIKI:Sandbox|sandbox]] to get familiar with the concepts — pretty much all of the text on these pages can be edited by anyone.  The content is version controlled and older versions can be restored in the event of vandalism, but we hope that will not prove necessary.  If the thought of this freedom makes you nervous or you don't see how it could ever work in practice, have a look at [[Wikipedia:Main_Page|WikiPedia]] the extensive multilingual encyclopedia, which uses the same software as this Wiki.
